Applicants will need to be HND or HNC qualified or have a 5 years’ equivalent experience within the building industry preferably within the Social Housing sector, basic Asbestos awareness training and awareness of the M3 NHF schedule of rates descriptions.
The candidate should be able to undertake technical PRE and POST inspections and have an understanding of building maintenance, term contracts and legal disrepair.
Be able to develop projects and work supervision skills, prepare project specification, write tenders and issue work orders as required.
The Candidate must have excellent organisational as well diagnostic skills; specification writing, Pre-post inspections which all part a varied and interesting job.
Have knowledge of Excel and word and databases, Work well within a team, have project supervision and building maintenance experience.
Other important skills are the development of commercial awareness, resourceful and logical thinking. Candidate should have good communication and organizational skills, people management and general business skills.
They will need to have knowledge of MS packages such as Word and Excel databases and experience of automated Repairs Systems would be an advantage.
Assisting with Health and Safety matters including, Risk Assessments such as asbestos related issues etc.
Applicants must hold a current driving license and have use of a vehicle. The role works a 36 hour week, hours normally 9am to 5pm but flexible hours can be agreed subject to needs of the service and to be agreed by line manager.
Rate: £23.25per.hour LTD payroll
